Return & Warranty Policy

DIY Electric Skateboard, we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase and we believe in the products which we sell.

Standard Return Policy

We accept returns or exchanges within 30 days of the original purchase date for cash value refunds.

The returned product must be in unused condition, in it’s original packaging with the original packing slip. A 20%+ restocking fee will be charged on all cash value returns and refunds dependent upon our discretion. Returned orders which received free shipping will be deducted from the original order price.

We cover return shipping on defective items only. The buyer is responsible for covering return shipping costs before a repair or replacement has been completed. All defective items are inspected by our technicians. If the item is not defective the return shipping costs will be charged to the buyer.

Orders that are refused or undelivered as addressed will be charged for any additional shipping fees. NO EXCEPTIONS.

To return or exchange a product, please email us at support@diyelectricskateboard.com. You’ll need to mention your order # within your email. A return will require an RMA # which you must write on the shipment back to us.

On Sale, Clearance, Boneyard, EPOWER Battery Packs, Electronic Products & Consumable items are not eligible for returns.

1 Year Return Policy (365 days)

Return your unwanted items in new original condition with original packaging within 1 year or 365 days of the purchase date and you will receive store credit for the value of the products returned. An assigned RMA # is required for return which you can receive by emailing us at support@diyelectricskateboard.com. The product must also be an existing in store product and cannot be a discontinued product. If the product does is not in new original condition with original packaging, the return request will be denied.

2 Year Warranty (730 days)

If any non-electronic products has a manufacturing fault. You may return your product to us and we will replace or repair it free of charge once the fault has been deemed to be a result of a manufacturing issue and not due to normal use, improper installation, extreme riding and/or a typical consumable product. If a replacement or repair is not possible, store credit will be given. The product must also be an existing in store product and cannot be a discontinued product. Additional shipping costs are responsibility of the buyer.

Consumable or usable products do not have a 2 year / 730 day warranty if used.

General Warranty

All products sold by DIYElectricSkateboard.com are inspected and tested before and after leaving the manufacturer. Each and every item is tested by our technicians and are guaranteed to be free of material defects and manufacturing faults.

Non-electronic components have a 730 day, 2 year warranty.

Electronic components have a 60 day warranty.

Warranties are non-transferable warranties.

If a component is defective and/or not correctly made, DIYElectricSkateboard at it’s sole discretion, will repair, replace and/or pay the buyer for a replacement.

Typical use, normal wear and tear, crash, water damage, modifications, improper use and/or installation are not covered.

No term warranty, in no case shall DIYElectricSkateboard’s liability be greater than the actual purchase price of the product.

60 Day Warranty – Electronics

Electrical products have a 60 day warranty. Most electrical products are tested before shipment and are deemed in working condition before shipment. Due to the nature of assembly and setup, we are not liable or responsible for certain improper installations made by the customer. If it is a practical repair, we are more then happy to assist with repairing, replacing or offering store credit at our discretion.

If the item has been damaged due to user neglect, accident and/or wear and tear the product is not eligible for warranty.

VESC has no warranty unless the additional warranty is purchased.

We do value our customers and under certain circumstances, we may discount a product due to user mistake, incorrect installation. We don’t leave you hanging!

Shipping For Returns

You will be responsible for paying for shipping costs to return the items to us. Shipping costs from your original order are non-refundable.

If you are shipping an item over $75 USD, you should consider an insured and trackable shipping option. We are not liable or accept responsibility for any lost packages which do not arrive at our shop.

Refunds (if applicable)

Returns and Refunds can take up to 4 weeks but typically are resolved much sooner. Once we receive your items, we will notify you if your request has been approved or denied.

If you are approved for a refund, your refund will then be processed through your original payment method within 2-3 business days.

Chargeback Policy

All fraudulent chargebacks are investigated and will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

Product Listing Disclaimer

Product Listings are updated as often as we can for the every item. Products are improved and upgraded quite frequently and photos may slightly vary. If the item is no longer available under our discretion we will offer a similar or upgraded product.
