Welcome to DIY Electric Skateboard!

Welcome to my website DIYElectricSkateboard.com we will help you learn how to create your own  Electric Skateboard DIY. I was somehow browsing the internet and came across the Z Board and thought how cool would that be. I then ended up searching and reading more up on electric skateboards and the boosted boards and found the best possible ways to go about either buying a pre-made already assembled electric skateboard and/or build my own from scratch.

The major difference between the two was neither of the ones I could purchase had any really “excellent” power to climb up hills. They were mainly created for riding on streets with no incline.

I figured out that I could simply use Remote Control car parts and strap it onto my board. I then went with the best motors I could buy with my money that were affordable and great in value.

During the time, I’ve read and searched for how to create an electric skateboard. I noticed, that it was very time consuming doing all the research and finding out the best solutions in creating my electric skateboard. For those of you, who have been in my shoes. I simply, wish there was a DIY Electric Skateboard guide that told me everything from start to finish.

I also wasted quite a bit of money since I didn’t know what I exactly needed. My guide will basically help you from start to finish on how you can create an electric longboard. If you have any questions. Feel free to reply in the comments below.

I am also planning on creating some products to help with the build of this electric skateboard we are trying to build.

I just finished my finals this week and this is a project I have been contemplating for a while now, so it is something I will be working on for the next month. I’m glad I found the site because the DIY guides are scarce. This needs to get done; I walk a couple miles to campus and I live in Florida… but hey, at least I don’t have any student loans haha.

        Hi Farhan,

I have completed my first build which I have not posted on my website just yet. I will most likely post some photos to show people the build in the future. My first Electric Skateboard I ended up getting the best I could. I went with the biggest motors that I could fit onto my longboard and the best electronic speed controller I could buy for my 2 motors. I ended up spending a lot on unnecessary parts that I didn’t need and on tools. My first board ended up costing me about $1300-1400. If I knew what I know now, I could of spent about $900-$1200 and I would of had less problems with the build itself.

The purpose of my DIY Electric Skateboard guide is to provide a step-by-step blueprint to create your own Electric Skateboard without spending extra money on the unnecessary parts like I did. I also go into detail and list exactly what components to use and how to put it together. If you are looking for a cheaper route. A single motor Electric Skateboard could end up costing about $400-500 but that would be sacrificing on some high quality parts. My guide gives you the option of choosing the affordable route or the high quality route. You do have options.

I’m currently working on things to make the process much more seamless and cheaper for the people who are interested in building an awesome electric skateboard.

Please do let me know if you have anymore questions. I would be glad to help.

        Thanks!

      Hi James,

Glad you have found my website. I currently working on creating parts to help with the process of creating your own DIY Electric Longboard. Getting an electric longboard for your campus is a great idea! A single motor electric skateboard can reach up to about 20-23 miles per hour if not more. A single motor electric skateboard will also be very light and small which would be perfect for campus. Currently, the board I’m using is a 33″ Earthwing Mini Glider Longboard. You could go smaller if you decide on going a single motor setup. I choose to go dual motors and I go a bit downhill on my daily commute.

Please let me know if you have anymore questions, you can always send me an email as well.

      Thanks!
