How It Works

The LY6N reads the battery pack’s total voltage and converts that reading into an estimated battery charge percentage.

The percentage shown is an approximation based on voltage. It does not directly measure the battery’s true remaining amp-hour capacity.

The displayed percentage may vary depending on:

• Battery configuration
• Battery chemistry
• Selected display settings
• Battery temperature
• Battery age
• Voltage sag under load
• Recent charging or discharging activity

For the most useful reading, the indicator must be configured for the correct battery type and series count.

TorqueBoards Installation

TorqueBoards commonly connects the LY6N to the main anti-spark on/off switch harness used with compatible battery packs.

This allows the display to turn on with the battery system and show the estimated charge level only when the main switch is activated.

Your exact installation may vary depending on the battery architecture, connector type, wiring harness, and enclosure design.

• Measure cell balance

• Replace a battery management system
• Replace a multimeter
• Detect every battery fault
• Confirm that a battery is safe to use or charge

A battery may show an acceptable total voltage while still having an imbalanced, damaged, or failing cell group.

Installation and Safety

Disconnect and isolate the battery before installing or modifying any wiring.

Always verify polarity before connecting the display. Reversed polarity or excessive voltage may permanently damage the unit.

Lithium-ion batteries can cause fire, serious injury, or property damage if incorrectly wired, short-circuited, damaged, overcharged, or serviced improperly.
