These top plates install on the top side of the deck above the truck mounting hardware. Their wider X-shaped design helps spread clamping force across a larger surface area than individual bolt heads, reducing the chance of mounting hardware sinking into, compressing, or damaging the deck when tightened.

Each set includes two CNC-machined top plates made from durable 6061 aluminum in Black Anodize. Install for the front truck and one for the rear truck.

Why Use Anti-Sink Top Plates?

Truck bolts concentrate clamping pressure around relatively small areas of the deck. If the hardware is overtightened—or if the deck material compresses over time—the bolt heads may begin sinking into or damaging the deck.

An anti-sink top plate spreads that load over a larger area to help:

• Protect the top surface of the deck
• Reduce localized compression around the mounting holes
• Create a more secure truck-mounting surface
• Improve the finished appearance of the truck installation
• Distribute mounting force across all four truck bolts

Installation

Place one top plate over the front truck mounting holes and one over the rear truck mounting holes on the top side of the deck.

Insert the mounting bolts through the top plates, deck, and truck baseplate, then tighten the hardware evenly.

Do not overtighten. The top plates help distribute mounting force, but excessive torque may still damage the deck, hardware, or mounting components.

After installation:

• Confirm both plates sit flat against the deck
• Tighten all four bolts evenly
• Check that the trucks are securely mounted
• Reinspect the hardware after the first few rides
• Periodically check for loose hardware or deck compression
