HI,
I wish to convert my longboard to an electric set up.
The items I need would be,rear truck with mount,50mm motor,ESC,remote controller, pulleys at wheel and truck, belt.
What would the cost be and the shipping cost to Singapore.
Also what type of battery would I need for such set up.
Hi Seena,
The kit includes the full mechanical kit with belts and pulleys. The wireless controller, you can purchase. I will include links in the future. You can email me if you have any specific questions.
One wheel seems ok but I heard people who bought it had issues. I unfortunately don’t have any experience with accelerometers or board motion controllers.
Hey!
When will this kit be able for pre order/shipment?
Seems awesome! Also does it come with a wireless controller?
Thanks for the help!
I really like your Idea here. I have played around with powered (gas and electric) for many years and I have enjoyed them all such as : an e-glide , Bushpig, several gas powered , and diy electrified Dirtsurfer.
I really like the electric idea but the performance was never there compared to really good longboards as you know. I’m thinking about electrifing one my better longboards in the short term as I can’t get my head around a $1500 skateboard that will probably ride like a pig.
Have you seen the OneWheel yet? I think the basic idea sounds ok but I see all kinds of problems that thing will probably have. Plus, I talked to them and it’s basiclly an unobtainable item in the near future.
I’ve been watching a new generation of rides come out using accelerometers and gyros….pretty cool stuff. I have been a high tech mechanic for about 30 years now supporting all types of automated equipment in the semiconductor business so I have the skills. This new technology is really interesting and I have been thinking about building my own board just for fun. I like the idea of incorporating an accelerometer as an on board motion controller. These parts are very accessible and fairly inexpensive from the robot online shops.
Do you have any experience with this. I would appreciate your thoughts.
Thx
Dave
