Product Description
UPGRADED 6374 190KV Electric Skateboard Motors. All the upgrades you can ask for and more!
Our 6374 190KV motors are for affordable builds that want increased performance and don't mind a little added weight for a higher performance build than a dual 6355 electric skateboard build.
These motors are ideal for a higher performance setup or a more demanding terrain in which you want your motors to run cooler than a smaller motor.
MAXIMUM PERFORMANCE
- High speed - These motors will allow you to travel up to speeds of 30-40+ mph. Maximum speed is dependent on available battery power, electronics and gearing ratios.
- More powerful - These motors are more powerful than our 6355 motors by over 40% increase in total power.
- Withstand more heat - They do weight more which is expected but they also run cooler than a dual 6355 motor build and can withstand higher temperatures.
- Ideal setup - A dual 6374 motor setup with 12s battery voltage is easily capable of 20-25+ degree inclines with 200+ lb rider weight and top speed of 30-40+ mph.
TORQUEBOARDS V2.0 MOTOR FEATURES
MAXIMUM STATOR SIZE - Other motors of similar size use smaller sized stators in the same size motor can length. We do our best to shorten length of our motors and expanding our stators to the biggest size we can fit. This gives you the best of both worlds as we have smaller sized motors and larger sized stators. Ultimately, this means increased performance for less bulk.
BATTLE HARDENED - All motors are battle hardened inside the motor which means we add in another production step to epoxy every neodymium magnet to the motor can. This means that as you rack up the mileage on your powerful motors your magnets stay in place. Loose and falling magnets are a thing of the past.
BATTLE HARDENED PLUS - On top of battle hardened motors, we include mechanical retainers on the back and front side of our neodymium magnets which prevent any shifting or loosening during high performance operation.
CNC VENT HOLES - CNC Vent holes improve efficiency and keep your motors cool. No more overheating motors due to heat and inefficiencies. Your motors will be able to run harder and faster. No more burning out your motors. Vent holes within our design will ultimately keep your motors running cooler than comparable motors with no vent holes. Due to heat not being able to escape from your motor can. Truth be told, vent holes take additional production time to CNC additional holes in each and every motor can which can add production costs to a motor design. All holes have been designed in locations to prevent exposure to rocks and debris while riding. For more rigorous riding we will have an upgraded mesh screen that can be attached to the backend of the motor for complete enclosure from rocks and debris.
UPGRADED HALL SENSORS - We've upgraded our motors with more accurate and efficient sensors by adding a sensor slot on the actual stator. This improves accuracy for using sensors with VESC designed ESCs especially. The accuracy for each hall sensor angle is much closer to each other versus the previous sensor pcb version. Now with the new design sensors are much more unlikely to fail and we get improved accuracy and efficiency. Previous hall sensor differences were about 10-20 degree in angle difference. The new and improved hall sensor differences are about 1-3 degrees in difference. Now that we typically always run motors in sensored mode. This is a huge benefit and upgrade.
HIGH TEMPERATURE MAGNETS - All of our motors use high temperature neodymium magnets to withstand high performance operation. Similar motors will downgrade to lower temperature magnets to lower costs but we want a high quality motor capable of high temperature if needed.
RUBBER SEALED BEARINGS - We use upgraded rubber sealed bearings on all bearings in our motor to extend the life of your motors. Cheaper metal shielded bearings which are very common in other similar sized motors are easier to become contaminated as they are more likely to introduce dirt, dust and grime into your bearings which will result in a shorter bearing life. Rubber sealed bearings have less maintenance. They prevent lubricants from seeping out and contaminants from seeping into the bearing. Take for example on your skateboard wheels, what bearings would you want on your skateboard wheels? Ideally, the rubber sealed bearings so why would you want something different for your electric skateboard motors?
SMOOTHER MOTORS - We add additional rubber sealed bearings support on our all of our motors. Standard motors typically have only 2 bearings even for a larger motor like a 6374 6380 63100. We upgrade all of our motors with an additional 5+ rubber sealed bearings for smoother operation. Motors will typically spin 2-3+ times more than our wheels/tires will spin. Providing additional bearing support is crucial for motors because if our bearings fail our motor will fail.
UPGRADED DRIVE SHAFT - The insane torque that these motors generate can break the shaft from the motor can which result in the motor shaft spinning around inside the motor can. Most motors will typically use smaller screws and inferior methods that result in this being a common occurrence. We've upgraded our drive shaft to include a 4 point system on the end of the motor can to effectively secure the motor shaft to the motor can that can withstand the torque that our motors generate. If this is an issue, our warranty will replace it with a new motor.
CONTINOUS IMPROVEMENT GUARANTEE - We strive to improve efficiency, durability, performance, and reliability which will increase the motor life span. Our guarantee to our customers is that we work to continuously improve our motors after every production run. Every production run we learn and understand how better to improve and produce better motors so our customers have confidence in knowing that they are purchasing the best motor possible. If you have any suggestions, please let us know. We are always trying to improve.
MOTORS DESIGNED IN-HOUSE - We have full CAD designs of the internal components of our motors. This means that we have full control of the production quality of our motors while our designs are a secret and our competitive advantage. We do our best to deliver the best quality motor that we can. Standard motors are now a thing of current times. What does this mean? This means that similar sized motors now have a standard motor which is a motor designed specifically for lower cost and shorter production times but this isn't a good thing because many features and upgrades are sacrificed for the result of less cost and lower production times. Of course, we have the option to do the same but we prefer to offer a higher quality motor at a comparable price point to standard motors in the industry.
WARRANTY - We believe in the motors that we produce. We offer a 6 month warranty on all of our motors upon proof of failure.

FAQ
☑️ What Electric Skateboard Can I Build?
With our 6374 190KV Motors, you can build a single motor 6374 setup which is great for an ultralightweight but powerful single motor setup. You can also run a higher performance dual motor electric skateboard with dual 6374 190KV Motors which is a great setup as well. If you don’t need the added power or cooldown periods from aggressive riding you can go with Dual 6355 190KV Motors for an even lighter weight setup.
If you want to run with a much more durable, more powerful and larger motors like the dual 6374 190KV Motors are ideal. You can also upgrade even more to the dual 6380 190KV Motors which is typically recommended for riders riding with a rider weight of 200 lbs+ if you also plan on climbing steeper hills back to back. You can’t go wrong with dual 6380 190KV Motors minus being heavier.
To choose the correct motor, you would to think about how long you’ll end up holding your electric skateboard in-between your riding especially if you’re using it for commuting. Sometimes for commuting, it might not be often that you’re reaching higher top speeds or mainly riding on flat ground in which smaller motors and the lighter weight will be better as its more compact, more maneuverable when walking into tight spaces like a crowded subway, train or bus.
All of our motors are great and it truly depends on what your need and use case is meant for. Great thing about everything is that you can always upgrade or buy replacement motors easily and they are interchangeable for your electric skateboard.
☑️ Will This Motor Fit My Electric Skateboard? Motor Compatibility?
This ultimately depends on what type of electric skateboard you’re using as they differ depending on if a specific electric skateboard is more likely to use proprietary parts. You can visit our electric skateboard repair guide for more details or feel free to contact us and we’ll best advise you on what’s best for your specific electric skateboard.
- Motor Can Size - First thing, I’d do is measure your motor can size as this will determine if you have an existing similar motor as you’re existing board. Motor can size is usually 50mm or 63mm in diameter. If you’re motor is 63mm in diameter. Most likely it will fit.
- Motor Mounting Position - Most all 63mm motors have a similar mounting position. You can measure from bolt to bolt. You can also
- Motor Shaft Diameter - Measure you’re motor shaft. Typically, they come in sizes of 8mm or 10mm. You’ll want them to match. We are working on having different motor shaft sizes to accommodate for different board setups. Feel free to reach out to us to confirm.
- Motor Shaft Shape - There are two motor shaft sizes. They are a simple circular motor shaft and a D shape motor shaft. They are different and you’re typically stuck using one or the other unless you can also replace your electric skateboard motor pulley. Our motors are all 8mm in diameter and circular so a D shape shaft would not work.
- Motor Wire Connectors - There are 3 motor wires, the larger thicker wires and these will connect to your electric skateboard esc. We use MR60 connectors on all of our electric skateboard motors and our electric skateboard esc. If you’re motor wires don’t match, you can solder an adapter that changes from one connector to another connector. Check our electric skateboard tutorials as we’ll be sure to have a more detailed explanation on how to create these adapters.
- Hall Sensor Connector - The hall sensor wire is a sensor wire for the motor that allows it to run more smoothly. There are 6 wires for the hall sensor and they typically have different plugs. We use a JST-PH 6pin 2mm pitch which is the standard hall sensor connector for electric skateboard vesc type escs. Same as the motor wire connectors. You’ll want to create an adapter if needed.
- Wire Length - If the wire length is different or you need much longer wires you would also have to solder an adapter as well.
If you need additional help, feel free to send us an email and we would be happy to help.
☑️ Our Recommendations - Who are these motors not for!
If you’re rider weight with backpack, etc is typically over 200lbs+ and you’re okay with carrying an extra 4-5 more lbs on an electric skateboard. We would recommend our dual 6380 190KV Motors instead as these have more power and are more capable than the dual 6374 190KV motors.
If you have no need for the added power, durability and typically ride on flat ground with occasionally hills than the dual 6374 190KV motors are ideal.
☑️ Compatible 6374 Motor Mount
All of our motor mounts are compatible with our 63mm electric skateboard motor mounts. We have motor mounts for our typical electric skateboard street boards and as well electric skateboard mountain boards too.
☑️ Compatible Belt Drive Kit
We recommend our dual motor kit or single motor kit depending on what you need. The trucks we recommend is our 218mm Electric Skateboard Trucks or you can use a premium setup for our CNC Trucks.
If you need electric skateboard pulley kits or electric skateboard wheels or electric skateboard tires.
☑️ What bolts are used to mount the motor?
The screws used for the motor are M4x8mm metric bolts. Using our motor mounts, we recommend using M4x8mm Socket Cap bolts. They are included with our motor mounts but not with our motors.
☑️ Are bolts included with the motor?
If you purchase any of our electric skateboard motor mounts, they are included in our motor mount kits. Screws to mount the motor are not included with the motor. You would want M4x8mm Socket Cap bolts. However, we'll be happy to send them to you. Just let us know in the order notes during checkout and we'll include some bolts if you purchase our 6374 190KV Electric Skateboard Motor.
